Admissions and COVID-19

This page has information on what you can do if your plans to go to university have been affected.

Note: If your question isn't answered here, contact admissions directly on (undergraduate) or (postgraduate).

Cancelled Higher exams in 2021

Following the Scottish Government's announcement that Higher exams will be cancelled in 2021, we'd like to reassure you that the University continues to assess applications in line with our published entry requirements.

We understand you may have queries about your Higher results and your offer. Unfortunately, we can't provide you with further information about this process now– but you will be advised of contacts by the SQA nearer the time.

Our Admissions and Access Team will assist you with queries about your grades or your offer after you receive your results.

SQA Appeals

Candidates can register for an appeal with the SQA from 25 June 2021 and should do so by 12 August 2021 to get a priority appeal which SQA will process by 8 September. We will endeavour to hold places for anyone with a conditional offer who is appealing their grade(s).  If the outcome of the appeal is not available by 8 September 2021, we may still be able to offer you a place but it is likely to then be for the following year. For more information please read the SQA appeals guide.
