New Campus Central development

The University of Stirling has always offered an outstanding student experience, and our existing facilities were awarded five stars in the QS Stars University Ratings 2021. But we’re also building for the future – which is why we have made a multi-million pound investment in two major renovation projects of our central campus hub and sports facilities.

Campus Central

Campus Central will be the dynamic heart and the social core of the University, encouraging connections and engagement across our communities.

The project has already delivered a complete refurbishment of the Atrium, which included the revamp of the existing level 2 study zone and the creation of a new University bus hub. It also saw the opening of the food and drink outlet ‘Scran’, and the introduction of the new Co-operative shop.

The final phase, which is scheduled to open in the next few weeks, will see the completion of a new three-storey building, adding 3000sqm, more than doubling the central space and a landscaped, social courtyard in Queen’s Court.

Sports facilities

We've built an iconic new sports complex to underscore our status as Scotland's University for Sporting Excellence. The overhaul saw £20 million invested in a three-court sports hall, indoor cycling studio, enhanced changing facilities and much more.
